BIO
Alvin Garrett has written several R&B/Pop hit songs including "Love & Sex, Pt. 2" (featuring Kelly Rowland). He kicked off the year as a co-writer on "Patiently Praising,” the first #1 song to hit the top of the Billboard Gospel Airplay charts in 2021 (with co-writer Fred Jerkins III of DarkChild Gospel (Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Whitney Houston), and he recently performed his poignant song "It Starts In The Heart" during the 56th annual historic Selma Bridge Crossing Jubilee, one of the latest Civil Rights events in the US. He's been featured by American Songwriter, USA Today and Urban Music Scene, and has amassed multiple awards including a Grammy nomination, a Soul Train, Dove and Stellar Award, and he has had an impressive career that’s ushered him to the forefront of Soul and R&B as a professional bassist and producer, arranger and songwriter for Joe, Kelly Rowland, Fantasia Barrino, Reuben Studdard, Jordan Knight, and Deitrick Haddon.
