NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 22, 2023) - Singer-songwriter Mike Ryan’s single “Loser” continues its ascend at Country and Texas radio climbing into the Top 10 on CDX True Indie and Texas Regional Radio charts. Country Now named the single in their lineup of Songs You Need to Hear, Whiskey Riff said the song is “the perfect choice - get ready for summer nights drivin’ down backroads with the windows down” and Raised Rowdy shared, “the twists in these lines are so good… you don’t know what it feels like to be a loser until you LOSE HER.” Mike recently premiered the music video to fans via YouTube (HERE). The music video was directed by Natalie Rhea and filmed at De Nada Cantina and the Barton Creek Greenbelt in Austin, Texas.
This week, CMT MUSIC will add the “Loser” music video to their 24-hour music channel. Fans are encouraged to vote for the music video to be included in CMT’s 12-pack countdown, a weekly, fan-voted show that airs on CMT MUSIC and premieres every Friday evening. Fans can cast their votes here: https://www.cmt.com/topic/12-pack-countdown.
“Loser” is included on Mike’s recently released album Longcut, which was named “some of the best songwriting in Country music” (American Songwriter) and “well-positioned to provide hit after hit” (Roughstock). Produced by Bart Butler and Ryan Gore, the album marks a decade of Mike building his career independently as a singer-songwriter with songs that have garnered over 320 million streams.
Collaborating with major label artists including Brad Paisley and Brandy Clark, Mike’s craft earned him a Top 20 hit as a co-writer on Brad Paisley’s “Last Time For Everything” and Paisley reciprocated with a shredding guitar solo on Mike’s previously released song “The Rewrite.” Mike’s new album Longcut includes songs co-written by him and a roster of hit-making writers including Hillary Lindsey, Phil Vassar, Josh Thompson, Brandy Clark and more.
The Billboard Top 40 artist has toured relentlessly, opening for some of the biggest names in the business, including Miranda Lambert, Hardy and Morgan Wallen, in addition to selling out his own headlining gigs. At times, even selling more tickets than major label acts with top ten singles. Mike performed his first-ever stadium show at Globe Life Field with Wallen, marking the venue’s fastest sellout.
Last week, Mike performed at Nashville’s Whiskey Jam prior to kicking off select tour dates with Jordan Davis this fall. For a full list of tour dates and more information, visit https://mikeryanband.com/.
