“Candle” Lyrics

It took me a while to see the change

Though it appeared as if from nowhere

I hadn’t a way to recognise it

Knew not of the cross we had to bear

Are you setting a fire, my loving vandal

I see you are heading for a fall

What if it’s more than you can handle

All the light spills on the table

And you’re burning out

You’re burning like a candle

There are days when I find it easy

And there are days I don’t find at all

When I reach for the hands that held me

And they’re waving at me as I fall

Wearing the burden like a saddle

The weight of the world and nothing more

What if it’s more than you can handle

All the light spills on the table

And you’re burning out

You’re burning like a candle

If I could let the world surround me

Find a way to share the load

Maybe it’s more than I can handle

All the light spills on the table

And I’m burning out

I’m burning like a candle

‘Some of the best songwriting in Country Music’ [Longcut] - (American Songwriter)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 4, 2024) - Country music singer-songwriter Mike Ryan’s new single “Way It Goes” will impact radio on Jan. 22nd. “Way It Goes” follows his three-week #1 hit song “Loser,” which topped the American Country Music charts. “Way It Goes” and “Loser” are both included on Mike’s critically-acclaimed album Longcut, named “some of the best songwriting in Country music” (American Songwriter). “Way It Goes” was written by Phil Vassar, Andrew Peebles and Brett Sheroky. Listen to “Way It Goes” here: https://lnk.to/qGiraFyO

“There are some great songwriters on this track. Having the chance to cut a song co-written by a legend like Phil Vassar along with Brett Sheroky and Andrew Peebles was a really cool opportunity,” Mike said.

He added, “This song is an honest look at a blind-sided breakup. There are all these romanticized versions of how it might go and maybe you see it coming from a mile away, but this one was just like it came out of nowhere. Then all hell broke loose and now we’re done.  It’s like you are trying to figure out where to go from there and picking up the pieces.”

Surpassing 320 million career streams with 764,000 new listeners on Spotify in 2023 alone,“Way It Goes” is the follow up to Mike’s previously released single “Loser” which spent three-weeks at #1 on the American Country Music Chart and was embraced by over 156 radio stations nationwide with nearly 15,000 spins. As his first official single to radio, “Loser” quickly broke into the single digits, landing at  No. 2 on the CDX True Indie Country chart and No. 1 at Texas radio. “Loser” was featured by Music Row, Whiskey Riff, Country Now’s Songs to Hear, playlisted on the Nashville Noise July 2023 Playlist (#1), and featured by Country Insider.

“DIE RUNNIN'”
LYRICS

WRITTEN BY BARRETT BABER, KOREY HUNT, DAN MARTIN ALLEY

YOU PROBABLY THINK IT’S BEEN TOO LONG,
THAT YOU SHOULDN’T UP AND CALL LIKE YOU USED TO.
BUT THE TRUTH IS, YOU’VE BEEN ON MY MIND AND I GOTTA TELL YOU.
IF YOU’RE HEART’S EVER LONELY AND BROKEN,
ALL I WANT YOU TO KNOW IS

CHORUS

BABY DON’T MOVE A MUSCLE.
STAY RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE.
COUPLE THOUSAND MILES AIN’T NOTHING.
THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS TOO FAR.
I’LL BE SHOWING UP ON THE DOUBLE.
FIRST SIGN OF TROUBLE I’M COMING.
AND I’LL GET TO YOU.
OR I’LL DIE RUNNING.

EVER SINCE THE DAY THAT IT ENDED,
IT’S BEEN FEELING LIKE A MISTAKE.
SO IF YOU’RE HURTIN,
DON’T WORRY, I’M ALREADY HEADED YOUR WAY SO

OR I’LL DIE...

BRIDGE

RUNNING RUNNING TO YOU,
NOTHING NOTHING I WOULDN’T DO.
RUNNING RUNNING RUNNING SO FAST.
ALL I NEED TO HEAR IS I WANT YOU BACK.

OR I’LL DIE RUNNING

POST / OUTRO

RUNNING RUNNING RUNNING SO FAST.
ALL I NEED TO HEAR IS I WANT YOU BACK.
RUNNING RUNNING TO YOU,
NOTHING NOTHING I WOULDN’T DO.

“Sometimes collaborations happen when you need them most, or under the most unusual circumstances. That’s what happened here…” - Substream

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Friday, August 14th, 2020) - Filipino-American pop artist Andrew Plan and Country singer/songwriter Kristine Wriding are releasing collaboration track "People Needing People (feat. Kristine Wriding)” today, ahead of World Humanitarian Day. The artists co-wrote the song remotely through Skype and Google Hangouts as an anthem of hope and unity and an antidote to hate and division. Substream Magazine exclusively premiered the song, sharing the inspirational message that regardless of what age, race, background, disability or walk of life, we are all people needing peopleSubstream added, “Sometimes collaborations happen when you need them most, or under the most unusual circumstances. That’s what happened here…” Listen to “People Needing People (feat. Kristine Wriding),” here: https://lnkfi.re/people-needing-people.

“People Needing People (feat. Kristine Wriding)” is being released independently and has already been featured by Substream, Cut It Out Magazine, NY Country Swag, Celeb Secrets and more. Wriding and Plan are also set to appear on nationally-syndicated radio “The Sam Alex Show” brought to you by Sun Broadcast Group on August 20th. *Check local listings for broadcast times. Plan and Wriding first met during an online songwriting course in 2016 and have been collaborating for four years. To date, they have yet to meet in person.

“The song started out as an idea of mine, said Wriding. I was really frustrated with how some people viewed others they didn’t understand. This idea especially hit close to home for me and for Andrew, because we both have loved ones with autism, and have experienced this misunderstanding first hand. There are so many opportunities in the world to be a light in the darkness, and the more that Andrew and I talked about this, the more we saw the need to inspire more unity and more understanding in the world.”

Plan added, “I saw people I care about, people I respect, wall off their hearts to the experiences and struggles of other people, just because of an opinion or something they heard on the news. When the coronavirus took hold of the world and the divisions among people started to spike, both Kristine and I saw that the need for unity was greater than ever. It’s our hope that releasing this song now, will help create awareness and inspire others to see each other and the world for how beautiful it can be, and to lift each other up.”

“People Needing People (feat. Kristine Wriding)” is being released ahead of World Humanitarian Day as a tribute to those who have committed their lives to helping others in extreme circumstances and in this time of uncertainty as the world continues to combat Covid-19.
