The rising Country music singer-songwriter teamed up with songwriters Chris Roberts and Grammy-winning Marcus Hummon (The Chicks, Sara Evans, Rascal Flatts) to write her most personal song to date about ending a long-term relationship. “Speed Of A Broken Heart” follows Kinsey’s appearance on Season 21 of NBC’s “The Voice,” where she made history as the only contestant to have all four coaches want to keep her.

Prior to her appearance on NBC’s “The Voice,” the Nashville-based songwriter spent over a decade relentlessly building her career independently, making a name for herself in some of Music City’s most iconic venues on Lower Broad, eventually signing to New Day Records as part of the award-winning and Grammy-nominated Gospel group HighRoad. She also released two full-length Country music albums independently including Honky Tonk Treasures (2021) and Fairweather Love (2015) feat. Vince Gill in addition to multiple EP’s and singles, and being featured on Travis Mobley’s (Grammy-winning band Shenandoah) single “Save Me.”

Continuing to captivate audiences with her wide-ranging resonant twang and timeless classic country sound, Kinsey has toured throughout the U.S. and in Europe, performing with The Time Jumpers, Darius Rucker and Vince Gill. She has opened for Craig Morgan, Colt Ford, and Mark Chesnutt, and will be setting abroad again for shows this summer as part of the Nashville Nights tour.

The Louisville, KY native’s musical journey started at ten years old when she came across an old piano in the basement of her parents’ house. She quickly discovered a love for songwriting and playing multiple instruments including the guitar and viola, and started writing songs and recording them on a four-track Tascam cassette recorder. She regularly spent time on her grandparents farm in Elizabethtown, where she soaked up listening to Classic Oldies radio stations, and picked up vinyls recorded by some of her biggest musical influences including; Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, Elvis, Loretta Lynn, Tom Petty, Vince Gill and The Chicks. By fifteen years old, the talented singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist began touring with a Christian band, performing at Mega Churches across the country. Continuing to pursue her career in music, she built a loyal following of fans performing shows while attending Northern Kentucky University. She made her first visit to Nashville at 18 years old, and moved to Music City right after graduation. She regularly performs at Bridgestone Arena during the NHL Predators games and has performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” for the Cincinnati Reds and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

(March 24, 2023) - Country music singer-songwriter Kinsey Rose is announcing her new single “Speed Of A Broken Heart,” set for release on April 14. “Speed Of a Broken Heart” was co-written by Kinsey, Chris Roberts and Grammy-winning Songwriter Marcus Hummon, known for multiple hits recorded by The Chicks, Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans and more. “Speed Of A Broken Heart” follows Kinsey’s appearance on Season 21 of NBC’s “The Voice,” where she made history as the only contestant to have all four coaches want to keep her with Kelly Clarkson saying, “you’re the kind of country singer that I love” and Blake Shelton recalling, “you have so much character in your voice.”

As Kinsey’s most personal song to date she shared, “I wrote this song while ending a long-term relationship, it was very difficult. Breakups are never fun, but I learned that they can help you grow and move on. I wanted to put a positive spin on the song, but also keep it real. When I took this experience to the writing room with Marcus and Chris, they were so supportive during the writing process, and the song was written in a matter of just a few hours. They really allowed me to be authentic to myself. They’re great collaborators and friends, and we write together often, so I’m always excited to see what’s going to come next.”
